Modern US politics, a 100-word rant
Democrats, Michigan was an eye-opener for me. It should be for you, as well.
First, congratulations on operating within the letter of the law. Masterfully done, no matter how unoriginal (Jesse Jackson in 1988, George Wallace in 1972). Second, yes, congratulations on achieving today’s stated goal.
Today, Michigan proved that the party of tolerance (of all except whites, males, and Christians) is just as intolerant, just as snarky, and just as sheeplike as the Republicans they despise. It’s not clever or original. It’s sad that you fear your opposition. This election is yours to lose.
Michigan, before 2012, please secede.
