A veritable cornucopia of multi-link

It’s been a long, hard week at work (64 hours +… isn’t it great to be salaried?).  I’ve been saving these links, including one or two for a full-length post; alas, some of these links will sink into irrelevance quicker than Kevin Federline if I sit on them much longer.  So, without further ado:

  • Kate’s had issues with Amazon’s use of DHL to ship a package with a 2-day shipping option… and issues with DHL’s customer service reps, who presumably need to learn customer service skills.  The saga begins… and continues.
  • Neil Gaiman extolls the virtues of Cory Doctorow… and we get a glimpse of what’s on Neil’s iPod.
  • The Lakota appear to have unilaterally withdrawn from the US.  The US appears to have yawned.  I really predict that this will end quietly when the US doesn’t assist in the maintenance of the infrastructure.  Or maybe this is the perfect opportunity to test the border fence theory…
  • The top 10 tech ads you might not have seen this year.  I think I’d seen two of these, the smug apple ad series notwithstanding.  The Wii ad that mimiced the Apple ads was incredible, though not from 2007.
  • Movable Type goes Open Source.  Too little too late for me to care, and I really don’t relish hacking on Perl, but I know people who are happy about it.
  • Porn prank on an Iranian video billboard.  Iranian leadership is NOT amused.
  • A comedy mashup album.  I’m downloading it now, so ask me later how it is.
  • A thing of beauty:  a MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulation) table made from an IKEA table.  In a nutshell, a homemade “cocktail arcade machine.”
